Northern Province Cricket Association was formed on 2nd July 2016 at Sri Lanka Cricket Head Quaters in Colombo. This was followed by an official inauguration on 12th January 2017 and was inaugurated by the Hon. Deputy Speaker and President of Sri Lanka Cricket Mr. Thillanga Sumathipala in a colorful function at Green Grass Hotel in Jaffna.Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket Mr. Mathivaanan who is also the President of NPCA and other officials of SLC and five District Cricket Association members were present.
