A comprehensive cricket training session was conducted for the Under-19 Vavuniya District players with the full participation of all Northern Province cricket Association’s coaches. The program was designed to provide holistic skill development, ensuring major aspects of the game was addressed in a structured and professional manner.
Throughout the session, expert coaches led specialized modules covering batting, bowling, fielding, wicket-keeping and game awareness. Each segment focused on both technical refinement and practical application, allowing players to receive individualized guidance while also working through group drills and match-scenario exercises. The coaches emphasized fundamentals, advanced skill execution, mental preparation, and modern tactical approaches suitable for high-performance youth cricket.
The entire session was organized and overseen by the Northern Province Coach Educator Mr. Jeyakumaran, who ensured proper planning, coordination, and quality delivery across all coaching units. Under his supervision, the program maintained a high standard of instruction, promoting consistency, discipline, and a clear developmental pathway for the district’s promising young cricketers.
Overall, the training session served as a valuable platform for Under-19 Vavuniya players to enhance their skills, gain exposure to expert coaching, and prepare themselves for upcoming competitive opportunities.
