Sri Lanka Cricket, under its National Pathway Program, distributed cricket equipment
to schools, clubs, and Sri Lanka Cricket’s District and Provincial squads in a bid to further
strengthen the development of the game across the country.
The distribution program was conducted simultaneously across all districts, beginning at
10:00 a.m. The main event was held at the Duncan White Auditorium of the Ministry of
Sports and Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and District and Provincial Cricket Associations.
During the event following items were distributed.
- Cricket Shoes were provided to players in the U19 School Cricket Tournament and the SLC District and Provincial squads.
- Cricket Training Equipment Bags: District and Provincial coaches each received a bag of training equipment to enhance their coaching facilities.
- Ball Throwing Arms: cricket-playing schools were supplied with ball-throwing arms to improve productivity of player training.
- Cricket Balls: District squads and clubs under the District Cricket Associations were provided with cricket balls for training purposes.
The event was attended by school principals, school cricket captains, masters-in-charge, district
and provincial coaches,
As the governing body of cricket in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Cricket continues to drive the growth
of the sport through its National Pathway Program, ensuring that every talented player across
the island is given equal opportunity to progress and represent the nation.
